What kind of label is this?

10 posts in this topic

It seems to be a different color than the four colors I know of CGC using(Blue, Purple, Yellow, and Green).

Any knowledge on this. Or maybe it's just a bad scan, but the colors seem right on the comic itself.

The label is a red which was previously used by CGC for Modern comics. This was discontinued and now CGC used the blue lable for Moderns.

So, it's just as good as the current blue label?

Thanks.

Some would say better even. Many red label books have been resubmitted for higher grades. Rumor has it that CGC grading was more strict in the "red label days".

The official CGC answer to your questions would be "Yes, it's just as good.".

The other side of the coin is that these books were among the first to be graded, and therefore are much closer to the CGC recommended '7 year resub date for re-holdering. insane.gif

Is everything about resubmissions with you lately? 893frustrated.gif27_laughing.giftongue.gif

Yeah, that 7 year advice sounds like shampoo directions: "Lather, rinse, repeat." Who's going to fall for that? insane.gif
