Something about underwater type covers always left me cold. Really cannot figure it out. May be an environmental thing: that is, underwater is an unnatural environment for us, so the inclusion of an underwater scene in a horror cover - well - seems like it is watered down. ::did I say that?":: Very different from, say, an evil Santa in suburbia.

Wow, nice # 80 there, Adam Strange!

 

I would really like to see what the original art looks like for the # 80, I bet it could be hung in the Met.

 

My personal favorite might be #95, which is currently tied for the lead.

 

Anyways, is it just me, but aside from 2 toes vs. 3 toes, and 4 fingers instead of 3, and maybe aside from the heroin habit, I think Grogg and Fin Fang Foom are the same physical monster? The ears and tail have it ! Or Grogg is the Fin Fang Foom prototype ?
