Run down on Episode 7...aka Next weeks episode ( Pretty much Dead already)

Spoiler alert.

Episode 7

Pretty Much Dead Already

Episode opens with Glenn revealing the presence of the walkers to the rest of the group, who promptly proceed to freak out. Maggie becomes angry with Glenn for not keeping the secret and ruins his hat in retribution. Dale gives Glenn his trademark bucket hat as a replacement. Maggie later makes a plea to Hershel for the group to stay. She and Glenn also have an argument about the walkers, after which they eventually admit their feelings, kiss and make up.

Rick and Hershel argue, with Hershel demanding the group leave within a week. Rick uses the my-wife-is-pregnant card, but Hershels not persuaded. Shane also wants the group to get the hell out of there because of the walkers in the barn, but Rick uses the same excuse to cool him down. However, Shane then becomes convinced that Loris baby is his.

Dale takes off with Shanes guns to hide them in the swamp. Shane tracks him down and demands he give the guns back. Dale points his rifle at him and threatens to shoot. However, he backs down at the last moment, since he has no wish to become like Shane: he reveals that he knows Shane shot Otis and lied about what really happened. Shane heads back to the farm with the guns.

Hershel has Rick help him and Jimmy try to fish some walkers out of a nearby pit of quicksand and lead them into the barn with snare poles. He says the group can stay on the farm if they agree not to kill the walkers. They arrive at the farm about the same time Shane emerges from the swamp and hands out guns to other members of the group

Shane sees the snared walkers and goes berserk. He yells at Rick and Hershel as they guide the walkers towards the barn, with the rest of the group and people in the farm looking on. He pulls his sidearm and unloads it in the chest of one of the walkers, demanding to know Could someone whos alive just take that? Why is it still coming? Hershel has no answer.

He finishes off the walker with a headshot, grabs a nearby *****xe and breaks open the barn door. Walkers pour out, T-Dog, Daryl, Shane, Glenn, and Andrea form a line and open fire. Once the dust clears, one more walker emerges. Sophia. Rick finally steps up next to the others, pulls his six-shooter and kills Sophia with a shot to the head. End episode.

Allow me to be the 4,000th person to say; why are there two threads for this show?

This show rocks. My favorite so far was last weeks wherein Daryl has his talks with his brother. Its just what it should be - people in extreme situations reacting in unpredictable ways. Good times.

Spoilers!!!!!!!!

(sorry I'm new and don't know how to do the spoiler tag)d

Ok, so here is my response to the latest episode of TWD, "Secrets"

Teach carl the gun , I learned to shoot a .22 with almost no supervision at his age. The unborn baby can know joy, if only in the midst of things. There are many ways of sheltering. I dont blame Glenn in any way for sharing facts of survival.

Kinda surprised at Hershel talking of moving on, and it being a surprise, but I guess Rick never let on.... I think he should have.

As far as the pistol training goes with Andrea and Shane, I think Shane was right on with how he was training. I can see how maybe he could have crossed the line mentioning Amy, but to be honest I probably would have said the same thing. In a heated moment. Things come out, and I think anyone can bring up hard memories in a heated situation.

As far as them boinking in the truck... I have to say damn straight. I can't see any man turning that down... and I think it leans towards the whole bad boy mentality.... Hes a , protects her like a man and then she gets & wants.....the......it (oops.)

I think Dale is very strong for going forward to Hershel about the Walkers. I know Hershel doesn't carry a gun, but I still think it is a bold move to try and understand/solve things. Dale himself was in a hard spot and could've been in danger. He really pulled through as a man with very honest convictions. At the end of the episode, he still hasn't spilled the beans. Thats conviction, and at this point in the series, him and darryl are the only ones who have shown such dedication, as far as I'm concerned.

I think Dale is a great guy fior breaking the ice on the pregnancy, and I applaud him for doing everything right to keep the group honest. ( and i love the fact he used the word guile :) )

I actually was surprise that Rick knew about Shane and Lori... I really did not see that coming (haven't read the comics, don't know if that happened or not) but I do agree with all his anger and feel that Lori has nothing to person_without_enough_empathy about...

Glenn saving the girl at the store is like... eternal tail... im sorry... :) Go glenn!

I also agree with what she said, that he is a leader not walker bait.

But she shouldnt have freaked out.. Thats BS.

Andrea getting Uber aim is just a given... get good or die.. thats all there is to it. I would do it or run my of in failure myself..

Finally.. I can see myself acting the same way Shane did when confronted by Dale... Right? possibly... sometimes I think people don't get confrontation... so sue me.

My money is still on Shane dying this season...

Which would be a BIG mistake IMO. And I'm not only saying that because he's my favorite. I just thing he adds another element to the show, instead of the other cookie-cutter characterizations.

There are just so many different angles you could do. Have him go full on "villian" if you want; have the group fracture and some go with Rick, some with Shane, etc.

Love him or hate him, you have to admit Shane is a good character. It would be a waste to kill him just because the majority of the viewers dislike him and his actions.

That's bad, sloppy writing done for shock value. She must have been bit (or fell and died) and turned in that small time-frame before Otis shot Carl and Rick brought Carl to the farm. When did she get there? Herschel must have known and was letting them search anyway all the while knowing there was a little girl placed in his barn recently.

Maybe she's just pretending, like Bill Murray did

I agree it could be considered sloppy writing. Its also somthing my wife and I called way back 2 episodes ago.... But I do think its kinda cool too, all the zombies are taken down and then out of the barn comes little Sophia. Just asking for a big payoff by Ricks six shooter! Nice and satisfying on a certain level I think.... now let's leave Hershels farm and get our asses to the prison! Oh and dont forget to get your woman in check Glenn! Get her loaded up and lets get outta here! :headbang:

I've read the spoilers on Sophia in the barn and Rick shooting her in the end but I'm half wondering if Sophia is just wearing zombie guts or just to small for zombies to notice her body heat...aka still human? Who knows, either way you're right about Hershal knowing, I believe he's the only one with a key to the barn.

I think Dale takes on an almost patriarchal role.... working behind the scenes to help hold everybody together. With age comes wisdom and as corny as it sounds I think the group needs this... just like human groups throuout millenia needed this.

Shamens, wisemen, priests, monks, elders... these are people that add some stability and spirituality to society. Along with leaders, fighters, and breeders... you need guys like Dale!

Rick now knows that Lori is preggo

Which leaves me wondering what it was that Dr. Jenner told Rick as they left the CDC. I had originally thought it was about Lori's pregnancy. hm

Me too! I was sure that it was about Lori being preggo. Now I hope it was something else....something they don't forget to address (if that was it or not).

I was telling my friend for months that I doubted it was about Loris pregnancy.Jenner probably told Rick that walkers rise regardless if they get bit or not. Maybe he leaked the info to how that started happening?

Walkers don't rise regardless, we have seen people who just outright died and never changed.
