65cent/75cent Variants

I know there is quite a bit of collectability for 35cent variants, but haven't ever heard of 65cent/75cent variants.

Is there a price difference(aside from the initial 10cents :whatev: )?

Your 65c book is the standard direct market book. The 75c version is the Canadian newsstand version.

 

From 10/82 to 8/86 Marvel Canadian newsstand books had the 75c cover price. DCs ran 10/82 to 2/88 (IIRC).

 

Whether these are 'variants' in the collectible sense is still being debated within the hobby.

Marvels were 75 cents until 2/86, then 95 cents from 2-8/86, with higher prices for specials.

 

DCs ran from about 1982 (no one's yet defined the earliest point) to 9/88.
