How to Remove Sharpie Marker Line from a Cover?

10 posts in this topic

I've picked up a couple DC Comics that had blank white covers thinking I could get artists to sketch on them during conventions.

The problem is on the blank Zero Hour #0 cover there's a stray Sharpie marker mark smack-dab in the middle of it.

Is there a relative harmless way to remove the marker somehow from the cover? The mark is looks like the number "5" but its not too deeply set.

Any suggestion or chemicals to use? (shrug)

I was thinking acetone/nail polish before, but it'd probably strip the cover paper. Since there's no way to easily remove it I guess I'll have an artist incorporate the mark on it in the cover, glad I paid a quarter for it only.

I also picked up DC's Wasterland #6 since it had a nice blank and white cover. Saving up some blank covers for use at Long Beach Comic Con sketches.
