Show your golden age that's not in the guide

That African Queen comic is amazing. I had no idea they were putting out comics for movies around this time and think it would be a fascinating group of books to hunt down if there were a somewhat comprehensive list.

There doesn't seem to be a comprehensive list. Which kind of makes the hunt more fun. (If you find one please let me know!)

Secondly, people seriously were encouraged to vote for a guy named "Footsie"?

"Man of Action!"

I couldn't find this one in the guide, nor should it be in there.

The "Crisis" is she can't go to the dance because she broke a heel to her shoe.

Dad saves the day and a pushy Thom McAn salesman collects a commission.

1958 so not quite GA but old enough.

Great thread - love all the political giveaways!

Not mentioned so far are the scores of Tijuana Bibles published during the Golden Age - many featuring superheroes from the comics. I've got a few - but not scanned right now.

The 1942 Crash is awesome - Doing a little internet research I'm aware that the Stanford Hammer and Coffin society put out periodic issues of the title into the 1980s - and I've wondered how many.

Here is an issue from 1955 with a Superman parody among other stories.
