Guess where I've been?

That action number 1 made me drool all over my keyboard. I freaked out when I saw SuperMan #1 at mega Con.....if I had seen Action number 1, I would of pissed myself.

I bet you that 893applaud-thumb.gifpopcorn.gif893whatthe.gifdishonest ebayers are gonna use that image now on thier fake auctions smile.gif

I wish you hadn't said that about the fake auctions. I'll leave everything up for a week maybe, then kill the links.

If the Action 1 got you drooling, how does this grab you?

If there's a prize for identifying them, can I enter?

Well, you certainly deserve something for your efforts (apart from the obligatory no-prize). Kudos, Gary!!!

Getting to hold them was reward enough. I've seen all the pictures and glanced at a couple from a distance, but most I've never seen. Holding an Action 1 is quite a thrill.

I looked through Action 1-20, Adventure up to about 40 and Detective 1-50 (minus the 27) as well as all the other keys. I'm sure you did similarly?

Some of Ian's books are really nice. The big keys aren't the highest grades, but there are some lovely VF's scatterred throughout the GA, even in the late 1930's. I didn't really look at the later stuff (bronze and up), but a lot seem to be what we would call reading copies (presumably until Ian started getting everything ordered when new). Bot when you're looking at the collection as a whole, do you really care if some random 1970's book is only a fine and not a near mint? The total value of all books from that era is significantly less than the Action 1 I would reckon, although as Ian is quick to point out, in the context of trying to collect them all, each book is equally important.

You have correctly identified 19 of the 26.

But I want someone to identify all 26.

I tried to do some color adjustment to the two yellowish pix.

Bravo.

Now they look like they do in the flesh.

Well done.

Can you do the same for the pic with the 26 comics ???

To my eyes that one looked pretty natural. Dice?

Same here.

It's a little blurry, but the color looks fine.

I hit it with a sharpen filter, but it made it pixelize a bit.

Better left alone.
