I read the other thread about those comics (Tech 3, 4, 5 were they?).

He should have paid more attention to a $5000 deal.

My biggest pure cash deal (I did a multi-thousand $ trade/some cash once at a CON) was a $1500 Silver Age 50 book lot I mail to the UK. I was in contact with the buyer all the way and emailed him all the custom form numbers and insurance numbers (without his proding) the day I mail it.
