I still think they should expand the show to 9 days total ( a week with weekends on both sides) and change the entire price structure

No discount. I just wanted to get it done because I wanted preview night and didn't want to have to worry about it later. I also made my hotel reservation for 2011 when I checked in for 2010.

Which hotel near downtown SDCC allowed you to book 2011 at the convention rate 1 year ahead of time? Sheraton Suites on the hill?

I stay at the Best Western, just under a mile from the convention center. You can't book the convention rate a year early, but the AAA rate is the same as the convention rate.

I wouldn't mind staying at the El Cortez again, but I think its a gated apartment building now
