Most valuable Golden age comic

25 posts in this topic

came across a Detective Comics 29 CGC 9.6 and would gather this would

be the most valuable comic in Golden age books.

It is probably the most valuable Detective 29.

Is it better than the Dentist`s copy of Detective 29?

since the dentist had them side by side and chose his copy (presumably the mile high) we have to "assume" it is as nice or nicer, I would guess (shrug)

Actually, when I got the Detective Comics 29 Allentown from Dave, he told me the Allentown was much better. He actually had already sold the MH copy and kept the AT copy, but when we did our deal, he got the MH copy back.

Why?

Sometimes you just have to settle for the Church copy. :baiting:

But he had his pick of both! Will not compute, will not compute! :ohnoez:

Plus he had already set the precedent by dumping his MH Detective 27 for the AT copy.

Reductio ad Dentistum. This is akin to Godwin's Law of invoking the name of Hitler in all online discussions, except it applies to Golden Age books.
