Thanks man :hi:

Alex Ross? hm I've been waiting a while for him to show up again, I missed my chance at C2E2... and what about Boris Vallejo? I'm not sure if he's even active or has even attended a con before though :( and also Adi Granov.

All added to the list

I don't know the full story, but he hasn't done conventions in awhile. There has been at least one private signing set up with him and it was completed, but one of BWS' stipulations was that the signed books never be sold and, as I understand, someone got greedy.

How many times has he appeared? I've never seen any CGC SS books of his. I have 2 books I will be getting signed I hope (really excited).

Boris will not sketch.

He usually appears at fantasy art conventions. So since CGC does not Set up Fantasy art conventions there are not any SS books yet. I know people who have met him and asked him to sketch and he always politely declines. Also Sometime he doesn't like signing quanities. So that could cause a slight problem which could possibly be fixed with cash or by breaking the stack into smaller stacks and dividing it between friends.

What got ruined? Its not like he was doing cons. There have been a number of things that have led some creators to quit doing SS or to never do it in the first place. It is always unfortunate.

I don't think I've seen any SS books by him either, but I'm going to submit a good number of books for this opportunity. I mean, really, he's probably second only to Frazetta for painting some of the greatest fantasy covers ever. This is great news!

:hi:

With all due respect, what got ruined was the relationship between BWS and CGC. (Because of someone's greed)

He made very clear requests. And they were not respected. This was not related to other creators and their other reasons for not doing SS.

Also it does not matter that he does not do cons either.(You can't use that as an "excuse") There could have been lots of other BWS ops in the future...........I for one am one of those people who is very frustrated that this got screwed up. :frustrated:

In my opinion whoever did screw it up should step forward and apologize to the community.

Thanks Kris. I didn't think he'd appeared before. I'm gonna try and get another 9.8 comic I love of his before the show (Which I know is ages away) and get him to sign 3 comics for my collection :wishluck: Frazetta, Borris, and Norem, areprobably my three favorite fantasy artists.

What got ruined? Its not like he was doing cons. There have been a number of things that have led some creators to quit doing SS or to never do it in the first place. It is always unfortunate.

There should be a bunch of apologies from a bunch of people. The people that white out personalizations and Ebay books causing creators to stop doing sketch covers should apologize. The people that chase elderly creators around conventions and to nursing homes causing them to never do SS should apologize, too.

All of these things are very unfortunate, as I said.
