What comic got you serious about "back " issues?

For me it was the Death of Superman (Superman 75) and Knightfall (Batman 497), which came around the same time in 1993. I would go to my LCS as a kid and pay whatever small money I had to try to find all the issues. I remember I could find a couple of the Batman's so I had the owner look for them for me, which I then paid like $4 each for, which was a lot for me.

 

Always a collector, I still have all these comics as part of my collection, and in great condition too.
