I see it a bit higher, I guess that is one reason I posted to see if others may see things I don't.

Sweet book. It looks like a 6.5 to me. It could be higher (marginally) if the creases stemming from the spine ticks are pressed out. Very nice indeed.

What's going on with the lower back right corner. Are those color-breaking creases or tears?

It is not a tear, it is what would call a wrinkle. Possibly in the past it was bumped down there and the paper just bent in a funny way is all I can figure or done during production??

 

I just know it is not a tear.

Are those color chips at the top left and next to the purple spaceship on the spine?

 

If so, it would probably knock it down a bit.

I think the white part near the ship on the left is critical. I don't really know what it is. Also I am worried about the tanning of the back cover.

 

But that's a very nice book. I love it. If I were you and if you already bought it, I will submit it for sure, after a little

One more question for you. Is there a faint reading crease parallel to the spine, about an inch away from the spine? Or is that a scanner issue, or a printing defect...

It is a scanner issue, the line parallel to spine.

I'll defer to the experts, but I'm not sure what pressing would buy you. Looks to me like what little wear there is is color-breaking.
