is it worth risking christmas shipping?

judging by recent posts it seems most of you guys are still buying comic books over the holiday period.

i have taken a break till the new year, mainly because of the 'lost in the post at xmas' syndrome and also the fact that i will be away from home for 2 weeks and don't trust the PO to hold on to my books for that long

anyone else worried about this, or am i just being overly cautious?

They'll hold onto your books for as long as you like - you just need to turn in a hold request with your post office.

U can PayPal the seller & request that he ships your item after the X-mas rush. They r taxing all incoming shipments that cross the border now.

I had my wife ship a book (buyer paid 2-weeks late) this morning and it was a complete Zoo at the post office. I sold 20 or so slabbed books a few weeks ago to avoid the crowds, and yes, last year I had one CGC that got lost by the P.O. so I don't even want to take a chance. I'll wait until after X-Mas. I am buying a few books here & there though, some good deals.

yeah, thats my concern, missing some good deals

its a tough call, buy some cheap books and risk the seasonal post of wait till the new year and a return to normal pricing
