1 post in this topic

The consignments continue to come in for Pedigree Comics’ upcoming March Grand Auction, scheduled to begin in just two weeks, on the night of Thursday, March 10th, and last for twelve (12) days until the evening of Tuesday, March 22nd. The first half of lots will end beginning on the evening of Monday, March 21st and the remaining half will close on Tuesday the 22nd. The auction will have over 500 high grade CGC certified comics from the Gold, Silver and Bronze Ages plus some choice Gold Key and Dell comics The sooner you consign your books the more exposure and press they will receive. We aggressively promote and advertise each Grand Auction on many online sites and trade publications and we also send periodic newsletters to all of our over 16,000 customers announcing the individual auction items. There is no Buyers Premium on any of the lots in the auction and most of the books will have no reserve. Every book is CGC graded and the minimum bid is only $100. You can check out over 250 books in the Auction Preview right now at www.PedigreeComics.com.

Just in time for this Summer’s release of the blockbuster Thor motion picture (in the first week of May) and the upcoming auction, we have just acquired on consignment the nicest Thor set ever consigned to Pedigree Comics. This brand new consignment of over 40 books between Thor #127 and #167 has to be seen to be believed as EVERY issue is in CGC certified 9.8 or 9.6 grade. Almost half of the books in the consignment (20) are in NM/M (9.8) condition! If entered onto the CGC Registry, this run would constitute the second best Thor set of issues #126-#200. When added to the two other ultra high grade Thor consignments that have already been listed in the Auction Preview, you have an almost complete run of Thors between #126 (first issue) and #191 in the Grand Auction in CGC certified 9.4 and higher with almost every book in 9.6 or 9.8, easily the best Thor run ever offered for public sale!

Thors have been on fire of late, obviously in anticipation of the upcoming movie. we have seen more sales and interest in Thors over the past few months than we have seen in two years, particularly super high grade (9.6 and higher) issues. This incredible run represents a great opportunity for Thor collectors to fill holes in their runs and CGC Registry sets, to upgrade on lower graded copies or better page quality copies in the same grade or to acquire a pedigree. Most of the books in the new consignment have white pages and a few are from pedigreed collections, including Bowling Green, Massachusetts, Northland and Pacific Coast. Every book is either the highest or the second highest certified example according to the CGC census. Every book from this amazing set will be listed with no reserve. Here are some of the highlights from the brand new Thor consignment:

Remember, Pedigree Comics is still accepting consignments for our March Grand Auction and will continue to do so until Friday night, March 11th. If you have any questions, comments, suggestions, concerns, etc. about the consignment process, please contact Pedigree’s CEO and President, Doug Schmell, at (561) 422-1120 or (561) 596-9111 or by email at DougSchmell@pedigreecomics.com.

Consignors maximize their profits selling in the Grand Auction, more so than on any other auction site or auction house. We do not charge a Buyers Premium, an amount that most bidders take into consideration when bidding in other sites (the bidders simply deduct that Buyers Premium amount from their final bidding price, meaning less $$ to the consignor and more to the auction site). The higher the value of your book(s) that sell in a Grand Auction, the more $$ you take home under Pedigree Comics’ Climbing Scale. we consistently set new sales records for Silver and Bronze Age comics in each Grand Auction and on our regular site inventory. Our Grand Auctions are unique and exciting, with new and diversified, top-rated CGC material in each event. Why settle for less by consigning with someone else?

Prospective consignors can also upload their own scans, item information, descriptions and reserve amounts for the upcoming March Grand Auction by utilizing the Automated Consignment System. It is actually very easy and fun to do. Just register onto the site, click "Customer Page" under "Your Account" and then click "Consignments" (under "Auctions"). You will then be able to enter the Pedigree Comics Consignment Management System and upload your own CGC certified books and magazines. We will receive an email notification automatically once you have uploaded the information and we will then review the information imparted for accuracy. The item(s) will then be added to the March Grand Auction to be bid on. You will be amazed how simple it is to utilize the Automated Consignment System.
