BREAKING NEWS! Pedigree Comics has just acquired on consignment the best existing Flash run and the #1 CGC Registry set of Flash #105-#350 for our upcoming Grand Auction. This live, online event is scheduled to begin in less than two weeks, on the night of Thursday, March 10th, and last for twelve (12) days until the evening of Tuesday, March 22nd. The first half of lots will end beginning on the evening of Monday, March 21st and the remaining half will close on Tuesday the 22nd. The auction will have over 500 high grade CGC certified comics from the Gold, Silver and Bronze Ages (Marvel and DC) plus some choice Gold Key and Dell comics. There is no Buyers Premium on any of the lots in the auction and most of the books will have no reserve. Every book is CGC graded and the minimum bid is only $100. You can check out over 300 books in the Auction Preview right now at www.PedigreeComics.com.

I literally just got off the phone with the consignor this morning and, after much hesitation, he has decided to sell his coveted Flash run. He has been collecting CGC certified copies of Flash in high grade for a few years and his journey has taken him to the top of the CGC Registry. His unbelievable set is over 80% complete and contains over 200 comics. While many of the early issues are in 9.0 and 9.2 grade, almost every issue is in 9.4 and higher beginning in the 130’s with most in 9.6 and higher starting with issue #141. The issues in the 200’s are practically all 9.8 and 9.6 while the issues in the 300’s are predominantly 9.8.

The consignor began collecting comics (almost all DC’s) when he was in fifth grade, putting together complete runs (Silver Age and into the 1980’s) of his favorite titles (Flash, Green Lantern, Teen Titans) and near-complete runs with many keys of Action Comics, Atom, Batman, Detective Comics, Justice League, Superman, etc. His collection was over 5000 strong until he decided to sell them in 1993. Like many of us, the fanboy in him took over years later when he was working and making some money and he decided to build back his collection, concentrating on high grade CGC certified books. Starting in 2007, he put most of his efforts into rebuilding his Flash run and concentrated on high grade copies and pedigrees. A bunch of the issues in his run are from the Pacific Coast and Western Penn collections with a few other pedigrees sprinkled in (Boston, Oakland and Winnipeg). All told, there are 40 pedigrees in his set. Many of the books in the run are the highest CGC certified copies. This 4 years obsession has taken his Flash run to the top of the CGC Registry and now he is ready to part with it.

As a special promotion for this incredible consignment, almost all of the books in the run will be listed without a reserve and there will not be a minimum bid (the starting bid on any of the Flash books will be only $1.00). All of the books will be scanned and uploaded over the next two weeks in time for the auction commencement. DO NOT pass up this opportunity to own some of the best Silver and Bronze Age Flash comics in the world. Here are just some of the highlights of the Flash run:
