But this book still looks decent. I could see to getting a 4.5 even with the split.

Does everyone else see the two long running creases through the front cover?

 

I have 5.0s that look to be in the low 9.0s but they have one long running crease through the front cover that hardly breaks color.

 

This comic has two of them, lots of general wear and a severe spine split. I wouldn't be pleased if I bought this as an advertised VG with all of that going on.

According the the Grading Guide a 1" spine split is still acceptable in a 4.5. I see the long creases but the overall appeal of the book has to factored in. The edges and corners look pretty good to me with just general wear associated with this grade. I still think is an easy 4.0. Just my opinion though.
