New art -Leialoha, Brereton, and Yeates con commissions

2 posts in this topic

I don't usually promote stuff that I get, but last Sunday I got three commissions done at a small little local convention that I just keep going back and looking at. Figured I'd post them here and share their coolness.

I'll start off with this one... Steve Leialoha, not wanting to do anything super complex, ended up drawing this for me; taking much longer on it than he originally intended.

Thomas Yeates was there and I figured he'd be good to do a Zatanna, as his style would bring a more serious tone to the character than is usually depicted.

Talking to Dan Brereton about characters to draw, having him do something in my Women of Marvel sketchbook, he states that he's really into the character of Hela at the moment. That was my cue to let him have at it. He actually ended up doing two sketches, the headshot to warm up for the eventual two page drawing.

So I think this was a good way to start off 2011, at least for commissions.

Feel free to drop by my CAF, visit, poke around, check out some art, and leave a comment or two.
