I need your reading suggestions - in the vein of Warren Ellis' Crecy

2 posts in this topic

My son read Warren Ellis' Crecy, and was intrigued by the history and writing. (I didn't realize how foul the book was until after he read it  )

Anyhoo....., I'm looking for your suggestions on good historical or historical fiction graphic novels, as he has birthday coming up in April. I do have Timothy Truman's Wilderness and Tecumseh, which are excellent examples.

Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

Age of Bronze comes to mind but it can be tedious and take dedication so you might want to skip it.

You should consider Garth Ennis' Battlefields minis

But you are right, not too much jumps out as far as choices that are directly historical. Otherwise, Maus, It was the War of Trenches, Safe Area Goradze, Fax from Sarajevo, etc ... would also qualify but they are not strictly historical.
