I need to play around with my scanner settings. What's the optimum size for scans?

I'll say an 8.0 with C2OWP, but the way CGC is grading right now, maybe a 9.2. And no I'm NOT kidding!

I think an optimum size scan for web display is somewhere around 960 x 1440 with sufficient detail requiring a file size around 400 - 500 KB. From what I can see I will say VF/NM.
