X-Men 1 9.4 WHITE Highlights Silver Age Marvels in Pedigree’s May Grand Auction!

1 post in this topic

Pedigree Comics, Inc. is pleased to announce that we are now accepting consignments for our upcoming May Grand Auction. This live, online event is scheduled to begin at 8:00 p.m. on Monday, May 9th and will last for eight (8) days ending beginning on Tuesday, May 17th. The auction will have several hundred high grade and ultra high grade CGC certified comics, mostly from the Silver and Bronze Ages. There is no Buyers Premium on any of the lots in the auction and most of the items will have no reserve. Every book is CGC graded and the minimum bid is only $100. You can check out over 50 books in the Auction Preview right now at www.PedigreeComics.com.

The highlight of the auction is undoubtedly the brand new group of high grade Silver Age Marvel keys Pedigree has just obtained on consignment. The featured book is the incredible 9.4 copy of X-Men #1, a tightly graded Near-Mint comic with incredible WHITE PAGES. It is easily the best copy we have ever had at Pedigree Comics and features the origin and first appearance of the original X-Men team plus the introduction of Magneto! This highly valued issue is only going to increase in demand with the upcoming release of X-Men: First Class the first week of June. Trailing only 2 pedigreed 9.8’s and 2 others in 9.6, this beauty is the 5th nicest existing copy of X-Men #1 and is unbelievably fresh and glossy. It is the ONLY CGC certified 9.4 example of X-Men #1 to have white pages (and neither of the 9.6 copies have white pages).

Other Silver Age keys in the auction include an Amazing Spider-Man #1 in 9.0; a ridiculous Avengers #4 in 9.4 (first Silver Age appearance of Captain America); Daredevil 1 in 9.4 that looks like a 9.6; Strange Tales #110 in 9.2 featuring the first appearance of Doctor Strange, a killer VF/NM (9.0) example of Tales of Suspense #39 (origin and introduction of Iron Man); Fantastic Four #1 in 8.5 and a solid 7.0 copy of Amazing Fantasy 15 featuring the origin and first appearance of Spider-Man!

Please make sure you check out this space in the next couple of weeks for more updates and announcements regarding the May Grand Auction, including the announcement of the incredible 9.4 to 9.8 group of books that we picked up at the recent Megacon convention in Orlando, Florida two weeks ago.
