You know, that is something I missed about the movie not having Colossus in it...no fastball specials. Or, in the case of Uncanny X-men #137, a classic role reversal with Wolverine throwing Colossus in low gravity.

Like many, Wolvie was my first and favorite X-Man, but the moment when I said 'Now the a$$-kickin' is coming' was in in issue 132, when Wolverine emerges from the sewers beneath the Hellfire Club's mansion...

 

The baddest mother-f'er in the Marvel Universe had arrived....

This thread was over after the first post....

 

Just like Spider-Man escaping from under several tons of metal in ASM #33, the scene of Wolverine emerging from the sewer water and itching for revenge will forever be associated as his definitive moment in comics. It perfectly defined the character....

 

You could search every appearance he's made in comics since then and never come close to the intensity of that page....
