Buying superman comics to cope with smallville being over.

 

I just won on ebay Action Comics 241 at VG. Its the first appearance of the Fortress of Solitude. However I did some digging that it actually appeared in Superman 17 but under the name Secret Chambers or something. Does anyone believe 241 is the first or 17? And which version of the many versions of the Fortress is your favorite. My favorite is the crystal like fortress portrayed in Christopher Reeve Superman and in Tom Welling Smallville.
