:applause: That is one X-Men book that will NEVER lose value.

Why do you say that? Those BYRNE X-MEN have been dropping like rocks for years now. I know because I was collecting a slabbed run. 141 in 9.8 has gone from being close to $500 to about $200 or so now... :P Man, I'm glad I bought them raw in collections, otherwise, I would have lost some serious money...

They have however seemed to have levelled off this year and started climbing back up oh so slowly.

Nice book though! (thumbs u

The #129's are doing ridiculous things. This 9.8? Like Gold it is!

I have sold 3 raw copies - woeful VG, VG/F & FINE- 'beauties' on eBay this year and every one went for over $20. These books were readers and people were fighting for them. Someone paid me $80.00 for my a 9.6 weeks ago.

Say what you will about Moderns and the current readership but Kitty Pryde and Emma Frost are both major players in the X-Books and have been for a while. There ARE people in the teens and 20's reading comics that are discovering this run for the first time.

What DOES drop like rocks? Any X-Men from #110-up in a 9.4 slab. These books were way overvalued to begin with and the CGC craze made it worse. Now, 9.6 and 9.8 copies are different for the most part. But a 9.4 copy with a couple little defects? There a gajillion of these things and the fact that Overstreet values 9.2 copies at astronomical prices doesn't help. $60.00 for a #143 in 9.2?

These are $30.00 books at the most except for #120, 121 & 129 and after 10 years the census numbers on these 9.4 books is pretty large. People compl;ain when their #135 in 9.4 sells for $32 and they lose money. Just the way it is and one aspect of the Bronze Age leveling off after 10 years of CGC. There cases upon cases of these things. Everywhere.
