They were pretty close. I also have a 21 book batch of early Witching Hours coming back--I'm a little surprised by those--most are 9.0 and I was expecting higher grades there. Oddly, the books that did well were unexpected, and the ones that came back lower were equally unexpected.

 

Speaking of unexpected, I have a batch going to CGC soon in my final wave this year!

 

So, compared to my first batch, this is a 1000% improvement. Now I need to get down what nails a 9.4 as opposed to a 9.2 or 9.0 and I'll be set. (not that 9.0 and 9.2 are bad, but hey-9.4 is the holy grail).

That is still tough for me also, personally I think QP comes highly into play when drifting into the 9.4 realm.

VERY interesting cover. It essentially sums up the 1941 Universal THE WOLF MAN movie's take on how Sir John Talbot (Claude Rains) felt about son Lawrence's (Lon Chaney Jr.) idea that he was a werewolf. SOMEONE at Marvel defintitely was drawing on that film!
