If a cover is detached and completely split - is it automaticly a 1.0?

I subbed one like that and got a 1.0

 

It's going to depend on what condition the book is in besides the split cover.

If the book is tattered and feels like a limp noodle it's going to grade lower than a book that is solid and tight but has a split spine.
