speaking or RPG's (sorry Ares for the OT)

Does anyone still have any of the original D&D books, modules, or anything else?

Long before they came out with the 2nd edition [!@#%^&^].

I still have a Deities & Demigods (1st Print) with the Cthulhu and Melnibonean mythos, in Mint condition. I have a ton of the other books (including some of the modules still mint in shrinkwrap) and some of the boxed sets, but the Deities & Demigods is the nicest, most valuable single book I have.

I have that edition of Deities & Demigods, although not in mint condition. Back then we never thought they would be worth anything. Plus we used the hell out of them.

That edition of the Rogue's Gallery is one of the coolest books they ever came out with. Lots of really cool Jeff Dee artwork. He was my favorite D&D artist, with Bill Willingham being a close second. I used to hate Erol Otus, but as I got older, he became one of my favorites as well.

I am going to apologize in advance for the length of the rest of this post. And now, back to our discussion....

The funny thing about Jeff Dee is that his art changed A LOT as years went by. He had that great, fluid style in the late 70s and early 80s, such as this pictures below.

Here's one from the Rogue's Gallery book that you posted:

Here's another stunner from the Ghost Tower of Inverness:

Another classic from the Village of Homlett:

Awesome picture from Against the Giants:

The sweetest Mind Flayer drawing I've ever seen, from Expedition to the Barrier Peaks:

The classic scene from Keep on the Borderlands:

Some of the Gods from Deities & Demigods:

Finally, the LADIES OF JEFF DEE:

And then in the mid-80s, his style changed almost overnight to where it didn't even look like his stuff anymore. It has pretty much been unremarkable ever since. Gallery of Jeff Dee's recent artwork

Here are some samples after his style changed, from the gallery on his website:
