I was reading the Simonson run on Thor (which I haven't done since I was buying it off the newsstand), and I noticed something that completely slipped by me.

Yeah, I remember reading that in the 80's and wondering if Marvel was going to get sued by DC's a-hole lawyers. lol

 

Nah, DC did the same thing all the time, poking small stuff at Marvel.

Clark and Lois being in a Marvel comics goes way back. If I remember right, they showed up in 1976's X-Men 98 along with about one quarter of the Marvel Bull Pen right before the Sentinels showed up and all hell busted loose.

There was also a slightly more ambiguous joke appearance of Barry Allen in Quasar 17, the super-speedster race issue.

Could be time to buy the Simonson Thor Omnibus. I too haven't read that run since its publication date.
