There was a TV show here in the UK called Misfits that you might enjoy.

I'm giving it a try now on Hulu. Just started the pilots. Why don't people in England speak proper English?

 

Well most of us give it a go.

 

The characters in Misfits are "Chavs" and they speak a language all of their own.

 

These phrases might help.

 

Thanks = safe (da'an saaf)

Sorted = sawted

Please = ployze

Hello = allo

100 = one'r

Thing = ting

Mate = blud

Good = Boss

Jewellery = Bling

Shopping = burglary

 

Many a Chav has spent the last couple of days rioting and looting in the UK.

Trancers should qualify - and about as good of a sci-fi movie as you could make for $1 million (a budget buster by Charles Band).

 

 

Trancers is my guilty pleasure movie. As a kid it got me hooked on all the Full Moon movies. As with any straight to video movie with a cult following, it now has 6! sequels.

 

Its not really a superhero movie, but if you're into sci-fi I actually did like Dune.
