I am offering up most of my pride and joy books here. These are some books that I really didn't have an intentions on selling but things happen and I would like to get them to the people that will really enjoy them.

 

I wanted to try here first before I explore other options. I have been fortunate to get some great books from people here on the boards and wanted to give others the chance too.

Fantastic Comics #3

 

It is a low grade restored book.

 

The book is complete and all attached.

 

The front and back cover has the restoration. It is color touched, pieces added, glued, spine reenforced.

 

The interior is complete and looks to be no restoration.

 

The pages are cream. I flipped through it today and saw there was no signs of brittleness. There are some chips in the paper edges but it all felt supple.

 

Tomorrow Treasures had a Fantastic #3 low grade restored copy at Heroes this year and he was asking $3500 and it sold either there or soon after.

This is the cheapest complete copy I have seen seen for sale since I have been collecting.

This book is off the chart on prices too. Super tough book to find in grade about VG.

 

Several have told me that it looks even better than the grade given. I agree.

 

To me it is the grail of pre-code horror.

Tough tough tough book!!!!

 

A very low grade copy just sold on the boards not too long ago.

 

 

This guy looks high grade but has a few issues.

 

Front cover is split halfway up from the bottom. The cover is not attached to the book.

 

Centerfold is loose.

 

Good news is that it is unrestored and complete.

 

I have $600 in it.

Mystery Men #2

 

Low grade copy of an early Fox book.

 

Purchased this from Sharon (skypinkblue) and this is what she had to say about it.

 

"For sale is a lower grade copy of a wonderful Fox book from 1939. Mystery Men #2. The book presents nicely, cover colors are excellent, but the front cover and first page are detached from the rest of the book. It looks like the cover was taped or glued to the book and when it got torn off, the first page stuck to the cover. The first page is glued to the cover.

 

Pages are light in color, there is a small split at the bottom that goes through most of the pages, but the rest of the book is very supple. My guess is that because of the split, you'd have to call them "slightly brittle".

 

According to Overstreet, this cover is tied for the 2nd Robot cover...kind of neat:)"
