Here is a small selection of comic books from Avon Publications being offered by Metropolis. Avon Publications published a host of titles ranging from Westerns to Crime but were most famous for their horror comics. Unfortunately, in 1955, along with many other publishers they went out of business due to the Comics Code and Dr. Frederick Wertham’s book, Seduction of the Innocent. Metropolis COO, Vincent Zurzolo will be heading out to the San Francisco Wonder Con this Thursday, April 29th through May 2nd. AVONS are COOL.

 

I need (OK, want), a Strange Worlds #4 in CGC 8.0 or better (with Off-White pages or better) and a Space Detective #3 in CGC 8.0 or better (Off-White pages or better).

 

And I need them at reasonable prices. OK, I might pay slightly unreasonable prices.

 

Also, how about putting some of those nice L.B. Cole cover books (the one's in 8.0 or better) in your gallery (or getting them CGC'd).
