I've always been curious who drew the series -- easy to caricature cast. 2nd printing labeled -- unusual for Gold Key?

DUH! That's what D-E-L-L in the corner means, I bet. Brain-dead tonight.

 

And there are quite a few Dell books with the 2nd printing imprint. Car 54 had most of them (for a series book) iirc. Frankenstein #1 (the series) was labeled as such if memory serves me correctly, because the first printing was as a Movie Classics. Then the rest are all Movie Classics (The Creature, Wolfman). I'm pretty sure there was one or two Four Colors that had the 2nd Printing imprint as well but my memory fails me here. Can't think of any others tho.

 

Interesting. I just hadn't noticed.

It makes me sad just looking at it.

Did each of them plant a bomb on the boat?

Maybe it's the sad tale of a penciler who only had time to draw half a cover.
