Marvel Entertainment Red Herring prospectus?

Does anyone know anything about these, what kind of value they have if any? Someone is offering them to me but I know nothing about them.

I had the red herring and the actual prospectus at my booth in Chicago a few weeks ago. Both of these were 9.2 - 9.4. I priced them at $50 and had no takers.

I think they are way cool. Every Marvel collector needs to own at least one. I got mine on eBay, probably overpaid at ~$25 or so.

These were produced as part of the IPO for Marvel -- there should be thousands of them. The law firm representing Marvel would have had them, and would have been free. Of course, that's years ago, so now it's probably worth what you're willing to pay. It's an interesting piece of history, although the content is available online at the SEC website.

Thanks guys, the seller has 20 copies and was looking for like $100 each... I didn't think they were worth that much myself.

If they're in unread shape I'd offer the guy $5 each. It's a nice piece of comic book history.
