1/4" Spine Tear on GA 52' Book

I just received a raw book that I bought graded by seller as a 8.5. It has a 1/4" spine tear so I was wondering how that affects the grading by CGC standards(I bought it to slab it for my collection)?

Overall, I looked at it and thought it looked like a 7-7.5 when I got it...I have NEVER returned a book and unfortunately I'm seriously considering doing so with this one but I'm not sure if I'm over reacting and maybe it is better than I'm thinking.

Please help!!!

Can you post some scans over in the Buddy Can You Spare a Grade forum? That would make it easier to give you an opinion.

 

But at the end of the day you have to be happy with your purchase.
