He has Feedback Score Of 1443

99.5% Positive feedback

But he has some pretty funky negative feedback ... I don't know if I should risk some $$$ down on this guy or not ?.. The item is CGC though & has clear pictures & can even see the barcode ... but on the book that costs in the hundreds do I really want to risk it on someone who does not seem to know how to ship properly ?

99.5% positive from 1443 score is PRETTY darn good if you ask me!!!

I have less than 400 feedbacks and have been selling on Ebay for 11 years and it has been a struggle to keep my feedback at 100% due to some wacky characters out there. Hell, I work in packaging engineering and I actually create packing recipes for companies and I've had people question my packing skills a couple of times on Ebay!!! Which I'm telling you is a joke because I'd say approx half the people I buy from on Ebay have no clue at all how to pack (luckily most of time it arrives safely). 99.5% positive is probably a safe bet to go with.

Based on the feedback, it sounds like he may have an issue with improperly packaging items for shipment. Your CGC book may arrive in an envelope with the case shattered. I would e-mail him before the auction to get his guarantee that he will send the book in a well-padded box.

Now that sellers can't retaliate 99.5% may be a decent rating, but back in the day it sometimes indicated the tip of the iceberg for a 1000+ score as neutrals didn't count and many buyers wouldn't leave a neg in fear of being retaliated against.

 

It's the nature of negs more than the number I look at.

yup that is what i used to find these :) I liked the idea a bout contacting the seller and asking how he ships how ever it does not matter any more as the auction is over & went beyond my price range... for now ... lol:D
