"Prototype" issues?

Doom, anyone?

 

And it was drawn by Kirby. and written by Lee... to me thats a prototype.

 

Same month and year as Fantastic Four #5. I can't give this "prototype" status.

 

Not all "pre-hero"s are pre-hero! Overstreet used to cite Strange Tales #95 as a Thing prototype, but it was published months after FF1. There's even a cool house ad for Fantastic Four inside!
