I actually had this at 7.5 when I was grading it in hand. Admittedly, defects are more apparent in the scans. To me, it looks like damage to LRC FC and ULC BC. Other corners look reasonable for grade. Also, I wouldn't call the FC overhang severe. I've seen worse on books in higher grade. I don't remember seeing the tear when I looked at it in hand, but it definitely does look like a tear in the scan. I'll have another look at it when I get back home in two weeks. (thumbs u

BTW, both the #161 and the #162 were advertised as NM!

 

I guess that means "Not Mint"!
