Well, this thread would appear to have some life in it yet. I will be posting lots more books today and in the coming week, including more ACG, Conan and DC.

 

The Conans run from #24 up to - I think - #65, then sporadically up to #100. #24 is a nm minus I believe - must check today. Most of the remainder are 9.4 or 9.6, with a few 9.2 and 9.8 in the mix, most graded by Harley Yee. Those of you who track CGC sales will be well aware that prices on post Barry Smith Conans surge at 9.8 and drop off at 9.6 a great deal. My dilemma is, that what Harley and I agree is a 9.8 rather than a 9.6 may not be how CGC sees it. So if your intention might be to speculate on these, I ask you to understand that I wont be giving refunds on books that CGC grades lower than my grades at those rarefied levels. (I recently sent two 80 page giants to CGC via Comiclink. Both had been graded 9.4 by the dealers I bought them from, I and C'link concurred. To all intents they looked identical - yet one came back CGC 9.6 and the other CGC 9.0)

 

If I get something significantly wrong, or there is damage in transit, that's totally different - and prior buyers will attest to the fact that I acknowledge and rectify my mistakes - but not differences of opinion about grades. So I wont allow returns on books if you are going to say that a 9.8 looks like a 9.6, or a 9.6 like a 9.4. (And please dont pm me to say that you think CGC would grade a book lower than I have graded it - no-one can possibly know that without submitting, and then it's at your own risk!)

 

If anyone has any thoughts on this, feel free to give me your views, and if you like share them publicly in this thread. If I get negative vibes I probably wont list them - at least not the 9.8s!

 

Meanwhile, I'll post some scarce but less than high grade ACG's and DC's a bit later today....

Just throwing this out there, I purchased two books from Alanna about a month or so ago and honestly I could not have been happier with the purchase. I would purchase again with extreme confidence as the books I received were beautiful and very fairly priced. Keep up the good work. (thumbs u
