Why do legit E-Bay sellers use multiple selling accounts?

One and only one. Same as my CGC post id. I prefer that everybody know who is bidding unlike you split personalities.

I currently have access to four accounts... although only two are in use, one for selling and one for buying...

 

At one time I had as many as six. I was selling around 300 auctions a week at that point and they were split between comics, used CD's and porn... Having them all on the same account would have irritated/offended a lot of bidders. I sold under three separate names, so the porn bidders wouldn't be offended by the Dave Matthews CD's in my listings...

 

I still remember having Metropolis win 60 of my auctions in the same week with their zaq11111@aol.com id... (the number of "1"'s may be wrong there). Clearly they didn't want competing bidders to know who they were...

hmmm... curious. I've seen your seller ID on the buying end of a comics-related transaction on enough occasions to make me wonder what you're buying with that other ID

I often don't want to be 1) cyberstalked on what I buy and 2) many many many times I flip what I buy on eBay later.

I have 2 ebay accounts. I mostly use my main one. I use my secondary one only when I am doing a lot of selling because it helps keep me organized.
