AMAZING NEW COMICLINK LISTINGS!

5 posts in this topic

Dear Collectors and Dealers:

Sales are strong and as a result, listings on ComicLink.com of premium vintage items keep rolling in (keep them coming!).

Recently Listed Highlights in the For Sale/Bid section http://www.comiclink.com/./forsale.asp include:

THE FINEST X-MEN RUN EVER OFFERED FOR SALE TO THE PUBLIC

A ComicLink seller will be listing the finest X-men run ever offered for sale/bid to the public! This is an exceptional accomplishment - a near complete run between 1 and 65 – all but one in 9.4 or better! The highlight is a breathtaking X-men #1 in CGC 9.6! This Pacific Coast Pedigree with white pages is the second best known copy and extremely rare in this condition – it is one of only three to have graded as high as 9.6.

GOLDEN AGE GREEN LANTERN #1 CGC 9.0 AND ALL-AMERICAN #17 CGC 8.5

Both are the highest graded copies. The All-American #17 is the second appearance of the Green Lantern and may be the best in existance. The Green Lantern #1 is the only 9.0 that, to my knowledge, has off-white or better pages.

FLASH COMICS #7 AND #10 - BOTH CGC 9.0

Both are the highest grade copies. The Flash #7 features the 2nd Hawkman cover and the first Moldoff Hawkman cover. The Flash #10 has a classic cover featuring the Flash.

CAPTAIN AMERICA COMICS #1 CGC 7.0

1st appearance and origin of Captain America! The only 7.0 graded by CGC, priced slightly under book value!

WESTERN #1 ISSUES

Lone Ranger Comics #1 CGC 6.5 rare poster variant (only CGC-Graded), Red Ryder Comics #1 CGC 8.0

Both are rare and the highest graded copies of these issues.

MANY SILVER AND BRONZE AGE KEYS AND HIGH-GRADE LISTINGS

COMING SOON:

AUCTION OF 100+ GOLDEN AGE BOOKS FROM THE NAPA VALLEY COLLECTION

Between May 20 and May 30, ComicLink will be auctioning off a collection of a different kind - an original owner collection of approximately 100 CGC-Graded Golden Age comic books. The auction, which will take place in the auctions section of the ComicLink.com, includes mostly mid to high-grade DC issues published between 1948 and 1952. Also included are ten baseball theme comics, a few Barks Duck books, Captain Marvels and a Tracy issue. Many of the books in the collection are the highest or second highest CGC-Graded copies (38 are highest graded copies).

Some highlights include:

Action Comics #151 CGC 9.2 (Luther/Mxyztplk/Prankster team-up)

Adventure Comics #163 CGC 9.4

Adventure Comics #167 CGC 9.6 (a Supergirl cover 8 years before her introduction! "Lana Lang, Super-Girl," that is).

Batman #49 CGC 8.0 (Joker Cover)

Batman #62 CGC 8.5 (Catwoman Cover)

Batman #66 CGC 9.0 (Joker Cover)

Batman #68 CGC 8.5 (Two Face Cover and Story)

Detective Comics #142 CGC 8.0 (double cover, 2nd Ridder Cover)

Detective Comics #168 CGC 8.0 (Origin of the Joker)

Superboy #1 CGC 4.0

Superboy #16 CGC 9.4

Superman #70 CGC 9.4 (Lois Lane on Cover)

The consignor purchased the collection last year in the Napa Valley from a broker employed by the original owner to liquidate his mother’s estate after she passed away. The mother had two sons that together purchased most of the books at the time of their publication. It was not clear to the broker why the brothers abruptly left home in late 1951, presumably for either the Korean War or college. Though their mother left their bedroom intact until the time of her death, the brothers never returned for their collection. Apparently, only one brother survives and is residing in a convalescent home in Napa.

In addition to the listings above, ComicLink sellers add new listings of vintage CGC-Graded and unslabbed books to the For Sale and Auction sections of ComicLink.com throughout the day, every day. Currently, there are over 2400 CGC Graded comic books that are being offered for sale/bid on ComicLink.com.

I encourage collectors to keep checking comiclink.com at least once a day to get first shot at new listings. Also, if you have any vintage material that you are interested in selling, we are interested in either helping you sell it through ComicLink or buying it outright. If you are looking to sell, now is the time for us to get great prices for you!

Sincerely,
