Pulp Bound Volume - Marvel Tales and Marvel Stories - 1939 - 1941

Wow! I haven't sold anything in so long. Let me try this:

 

This is a bound volume of 4 Goodman (Marvel) pulps.

 

In the volume you will find:

 

Marvel Tales v. 1 # 6 - December 1939 - Angel cover

Marvel Tales v.2 # 1 - May 1940 - Sweet woman in tube cover

Marvel Stories v.2 # 2 - Nov 1940 - Simon & Kirby art + Human Torch one page ad and whatever that one story with super-soldier and FF proto-type thingy

Marvel Stories v.2 # 3 - April 1941 - Cool giant cover.

 

The title Marvel Tales continued into Marvel Stories as you can see with the vol & # information.

 

The pulps appear to have been trimmed for the volume. Back covers were taken out and, as old-timers sometimes did, the table of content was glued to the cover. In many pulps, the inside cover and first page was reserved for ad space making the Table of Contents page # 4 so it can easily be glued onto the inside cover so the book opens directly to the ToC.
