Checking cgc barcodes ?????????

Hi,

I'm looking for a bit of help for a new cgc comic collector, how can I check the cgc barcode to check if it's genuine for the comic etc. Sorry if this is a stupid question guys, but we all have to start somewhere.

If you have the barcode, you can call CGC and ask them for the "grader's notes", and to confirm the title, issue, and grade (amongst other things).

I just thought I'd mention how crucial this feature has been. I was about to buy an ASM 27 CGC 9.2, the picture showed a blue label. I ask for bar code..look it up..it's restored.

I know the Spidey 27 you're talking about...it's on E-Bay and the top is sheared out of the photo. Good call, I KNEW that thing had to be restored, didn't even feel like e-mailing the seller I was so sure.
