Saw this advertised on an issue of FF#2 on Comiclink. I think I know basically what Marvel Chipping is but "pre"? Does this have to do with prior changes to materials and printing methods that led to Marvel Chipping?

The distinction is whether any pieces have fallen off... If the tears are there but all the pieces are attached, it's "Pre"... if small chips have already come off, it's Marvel Chipping.
