Charlotte Comicon - 10th Anniversary Show - Sunday March 25th

74 posts in this topic

I moved into the Charlotte area from South Florida 15 months ago and was quite pleased with the quality and selection for a regional show.

Brought me back to the good old days of regularly scheduled cons that I attended and sold at in the Greater NYC/Philly region during the 80s & 90s.

Rick always has the room packed with dealers. A solid selection of GA & SA.

I don't spend much money these days as my want list is extremely narrow but I do stop by and check out the dealer stock because you never know.

I think you'll be happy enough!

Oh, man. I'm taking a buddy from work who's a Star Wars nut. Funny story. He was out with some other guys from my unit at a pub talking to some girl. During the conversation he asked, "Do you like Star Wars?" She said, "uh..NO..." and he immediately said, "We're done here." and he turned his back on her and walked away. I died when they told me about it.

Of these dealers can you say which ones are board members and their screen names?

Also, I asked in a separate thread but perhaps I should have asked here. How big is this event. From the main Charlotte Con page it appears, very, very small. I'm just wondering if it's worth a 3 hour drive.

If you like comics it's well worth a 3 hour drive. I think it's worth coming to if you were almost twice as far away. A lot of dealers/comics are packed in that room. Sometimes you get a good looking Princess Leah too.

Rick, where is Barbara Eden? You mentioned a possibility 5 or 6 years ago, maybe it was 9 or 10. I keep looking for her on the guest list every year. I thought that was tied into the I Dream of Jeannie comic I bought from you :)
