Anyone know of any CA comic books/stories mentioning CDC?

6 posts in this topic

I am looking for any comic books that contain a storyline, or even mention, of the CDC.

When the CDC was first created in 1946 it was called the "Communicable Disease Center".

It became the "Center for Disease Control" in 1970.

Thanks! (thumbs u

Hi Mark. :hi:

I wonder if any of the Caliber Comics Deadworld books mentioned the CDC in the Copper Age. That would be my guess. Check anything zombie-related as a start.

There was also an Aircel series called - you guessed it - The Walking Dead.

I'd also recommend checking some of the Justice League stories out. I remember there was a small run in Justice League Europe that contained Starro. There may be mention of the CDC helping combat what was going on in those books.

Maybe even the Invasion! cross-over from DC?

Any stories that related to mass famine, death, disease would seem to have a mention of the CDC.

Thanks Bosco!

What about that JLA comic from the mid-1980s about famine?

Heroes Against Hunger?

Then check Heroes For Hope as well.

Yup, those were it. Not sure I still have my copies.

Does anyone have and can check for CDC references?
