Yeah, that's a good question.

Maybe they were trying to "sample" CGG's grading?

Even with CGG's lower-prices, the grading must have cost nearly the value of the book. Did they expect a premium on a GD/VG non-key?

Cuetipp - Doesn't CGG put the graded date on their labels? What is the date your book was graded? This auction started on May 6 - I'd be curious to know if the graded date was before or after May 6. If before - why would CGG hold onto it for so long for this customer...
