I am beginning to experience allocations, price increases, and cancellations on pretty much any online first-print non-current back-issue that I order at or near cover at this point, out of the very few that I found to begin with. Let's see if there is a slew of fresh offerings in the near future to stabilize price, or if this madness continues up for a little while longer.

I'm slapped with $30-40 shipping every time to get anything decent to Australia.

Really undoes a lot of hard working finding a good deal when you add $40 back on to the price...

Then you need to work harder my friend.

a slab is $16 surface to Australia.

If you want insurance - obviously extra.

$40?

Out the seller - that is daylight robbery.

I know its a boardie - pm him.

Its not rocket science to find a cheaper option.

Thats total BS.

That being said $76 will be a good price down the track.

The shipping is still BS.

If anyone is looking.....

Chapel Hill Comics has a few issues up for sale.

#2 1st prints for $15

#3 1st prints for $6

Combo of #2 and #3 for $19

Also have 7, 7 Ghost, and 8

I ordered 2 full sets from them when they had them up on their website a few weeks ago and have yet to receive the comics or any other kind of communication from them. I sent them an email about it yesterday and have yet to hear back. I wouldn't be surprised is they cancel the order.

I clicked on the auction, it's $54 to Canada as well, and its because its Express, the highest possible tier of shipping.

Just ask him to do Priority, should cut $20 off it. Even the fussiest Amerikeens will generally drop down to at least Priority.

(not everyone is willing to do uninsured Air Mail like Andy is suggesting, but if they will, its dirt cheap).

As a seller, you'd have to have a death wish to send anything international by airmail (surface uninsured). If it goes missing, you have nothing - no insurance, no tracking for paypal. Your money might as well have disappeared into a black hole. Same as if it turns up damaged. No recourse.

Priority is the way to go here - it should be in the high $30s to low $40s and provides insurance and delivery confirmation.

Yep, that's what I'm saying. If an international bidder can't at least pony up for Priority, I'd rather sell domestically. It sucks since I love selling to international buyers, but that's just the way it is.
