Fantastic Four Annual # 2 ('64) with NO ADS on covers! Weird!!!

7 posts in this topic

hi,

anyone ever heard of an early marvel book being printed without the ad on the back cover, or for that matter on the insides of the front and the back cover? just blank white where the ad(s) normally go!

is this some kind of a prototype? a misprint? a known phenomenon i'm unaware of?

i really doubt it's some kind of assembled repair/forgery/color cover thing, because the spine is totally linked to the covers w/no interruptions, and the wear on the book including the covers makes it all look very of the period and genuine

thanks for any insight!

it's the first 3 pix here: http://s1268.photobucket.com/albums/jj563/smileLP/

shows, spine, front and blank back (inside covers are same type of blank)
