Nice find Jeff, and if you or anybody finds any 30 cent western variants please let Harry and I know as we are so darned close yet so far from that elusive complete set! frustrated.gif

Hidden treasure...

There were 0 bids on these until the last minute. I tried to get them all but only was able to land 1 lot (and it was expensive). grin.gif

I suppose the going rate for an undisclosed conditioned western variant is $80 to $90 - no?

I never imagined being out-sniped at $90+ per book. Classic case of bumping heads.

Yes I was gambling that they would be upgrades.

Westerns and horror have been strange as of late. A Kid Colt went for $26, then another went for $40 something. Meanwhile, a VF in Al Stoltz's store does not sell for $125. So who knows what they are worth?

I just wish the seller had my last book. (or one that metarog needed)

Thats hilarious. Did anyone try to get the seller to "end the auction early?"

893naughty-thumb.gif Many of us have sworn off doing that since many folks snipe at the last second and looking at the ended auction bid histories for this seller showed 2 variant collectors I know who won books from her. Did not want to butt in to this one and figured I'd hit the winner up with more details on the book's conditions and if they want to sell. Good luck guys... I'm always interested in upgrading westerns...

Are these actually rarer than the 35 cent variant first print editions?

and what the heck was it doing in England? Maybe that is the secret to tracking these down. I asked the seller if there were any more, but he said no.

Congrats to the winner.! thumbsup2.gif
