GS x-men 1 just need some feedback

Ok this is not a very detailed picture but I really need some feedback on a defect

 

 

 

On sale at my LCS

 

Nice bright white focover

1/4" tear on the upper back cover

Off white pages

Slight "roll" easily pressed out.....

 

How bad does the tear bring the grade down

I think you could find a better priced book in the 7.0 range. Not sure how much higher it would be. Some yellowing it looks like

6.0-7.0 range sounds about right.

That's what I thought it was discounted, but I did not want to pull the trigger with the tear on the back

Its a little over priced for a 6.0-7.0 at $700... would go for more like $300 to $400 at between those grades. Just saw a CGC Graded 7.0 go at $400 on mycomicshop.com and a CGC Graded 7.5 go on Ebay at $425

He has it discounted 30%... I agree 300-400 but without the tear and a little pressing it would be 600+
